Display for Learners- April 2016 Reflection

1 being highest, and 5 lowest, what grade would you give us, as a school, for our displays?
Nobody gave us a 1- so there is, as always, room for improvement.
There were several 4 or 5s.
Using the same scale, how well do you think we celebrate school life with our displays?
All of the grades were used here, so we must be doing something right, but also, perhaps, we can continue to think about this.
Using the same scale, how well do you feel inspire our students with our displays?
Only one 1, several 4 or 5s. This is clearly also something to think about; what do we want to inspire our students to do, how can we do this with displays.
Based on your tour, which of these areas do you feel most utilised?
A real mix of celebrating achievement, effort and supporting learning- sounds good!
Based on your tour, which of these phrases best describes the learning environment at BGS?
13/18 – it is colourful and eye-catching. This is brilliant. Is it also interactive and encourages pupil engagement? Does it also show we value a wide range of achievements? If not, can we make this true?
Thinking about your own use of displays, how pleased are you with your displays? (1 highest)
All the grades were used- thank you for being honest. Hopefully this gives a chance for self-reflection and an aim to move up the scale.
Which category of displays do you feel you use the most?
Lots of votes for working walls, displays to celebrate work and informative displays, none for extension/ challenge displays. Perhaps this is something we could consider using more to push our gifted learners.
1 being highest, how much do you feel your students benefit from displays you have created?
Some ones, all 1-3. Great! Can we make them all 1s?
If you could choose one thing to improve this score, what would it be?

Lots of none of the above. Your post-it pledge…
